Sometimes the mind needs to make the effort to lift itself out and up in order to get some perspective. I am thinking about looking out, and through [the difficulty], and up at the same time so that what I say here is accurate, yet not bogged down. So that it carries the weight of the truth, but is not weighed down by it. For that is what we are meant to do. Carry our own weight without being weighed down. Just as the eagle must carry the weight of its body in the mount before the soar, so must we.
I find it interesting in thinking about this that Isaiah 40:31 doesn’t say, “and they shall soar like eagles,” but that “they shall mount up on wings like eagles.” The emphasis is on the strength of the wings to lift the weight to the soar, not on the soar itself.
